As ancient as a mid-summer night’s dream, this soporific sedative blend has been used to help ease people in the pleasant reveries of deep sleep. Add 1 tsp per cup of boiling water and steep 15+ min (covered). Sip 1–2 cups in the evening.

Weight: 60 g (40–60 servings)

Ingredients:

    • Valeriana officinalis (valerian)
A time-honored sleep ally; gently settles the nervous system and shortens the toss-and-turn window.
    • Passiflora incarnata (passionflower)

Quieting vine traditionally used to calm a busy mind and smooth bedtime jitters.

    • Lactuca virosa (wild lettuce)

Old-world “lettuce opium” folk herb; mild, relaxing bitter that helps take the edge off. Known as the dreaming herb.

    • Stachys betonica / S. officinalis (betony)

Grounding, aromatically warm leaf long used to release head/neck tension and encourage ease.

    • Matricaria recutita (chamomile)

The traditional sleepy time tea, helpful in calming both the mind and the digestive system.

    • Borago officinalis (borage)

Comforting, moistening leaf; traditionally used to soften frazzle and support a calm mood.

    • Melissa officinalis (lemon balm)

Bright, lemony calmative that promotes relaxed focus and gentle sleep readiness.

    • Trifolium pratense (red clover)

Nutritive alterative with gentle lymphatic support; a smooth, mineral-forward cup.

    • Schisandra chinensis (schisandra)

Adaptogenic berry traditionally used to support stamina, stress resilience, and clear focus.

        Precautions:
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery after use. Valerian and passionflower may potentiate sedatives or alcohol. Wild lettuce and borage are not recommended during pregnancy. Those with Asteraceae allergies should use chamomile and wild lettuce cautiously. As always, discuss herbs with a qualified herbalist and/or healthcare practitioner—especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or take medications.
