Cramp Ease Tea
Cramp Ease Tea
A classic formula that has been used to help soothe the cramps of menses. Some pair with Sleep and Dreams combo for further pain relief. Add 1 tsp per cup of boiling water and steep 15+min. Drink 2-3 cups a day, or as needed.
Weight: 100 g (40-60 servings)
Ingredients:
- Viburnum opulus (cramp bark)
Cramp bark's name comes from its use as a pain treatment for cramps, particularly menstrual cramps. It relaxes muscles and blood vessels, which can relieve pain and reduce blood pressure.
- Viburnum prunifolium (black haw)
Closely related to cramp bark, it has glycosides that been scientifically proven to exert an antispasmodic effect on the uterine muscle.
- Galega officinalis (goat's rue)
Traditionally used to treat muscular cramps. It has a relaxing and pain relieving effect on the body.
- Achillea millefolium (yarrow)
The herb of a million uses. Yarrow reduces inflammation and is used for pain relief. It also can help with issues of heavy flow.
- Zingiber officinalis (ginger root)
Research has found that ginger was just as effective as ibuprofen when it came to relieving menstrual pain. Bonus, it can help with nausea and stomach upset during menses.
- Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice root)
Licorice has anti-inflammatory properties that can help relieve cramps. It is also traditionally used to balance uterine hormones due to its phytoestrogenic properties.
