Feeling a little fussy? This combo is used to cleanse, clear, and heal the whole urinary system including bladder and kidneys. Add a large tbsp per cup and steep for 20+ minutes. Have two cups a day for about ten days.
Weight: 70 g (~30 servings)
Ingredients:
-
Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (uva-ursi)
This is herb is known as a urinary antiseptic and has been traditionally used by native americans in treating UTIs (it is probably one of the best known herbs for UTIs)
- Taraxacum officinalis folia (dandelion leaf)
It is a diuretic that helps flush the urinary system. (sometimes this seems counterintuitive to make you urinate more, but it is needed to help flush out the infection.
- Solidago canadensis (goldenrod)
Works similarly to dandelion leaf acting like a diuretic to flush the urinary system. Used in Europe to treat urinary tract inflammation and to prevent or treat kidney stones.
- Zea mays (corn silk)
Traditionally used to soothe the urinary tract and ease inflammation. Corn silk soothes and relaxes the lining of the urinary tubules and bladder, relieving irritation and improving urine flow and elimination.
- Althea officinalis (marshmallow root)
Marshmallow root has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth in the urinary tract and clean the bladder; it also soothes the urinary system and helps to treat kidney and bladder inflammation.
- Equisetum arvense (horsetail)
Also a diuretic. A 2021 review of research found that horsetail may have potential as a therapy for kidney conditions, including urethritis and kidney stones.
Precautions:
Use with caution in severe kidney disorders. Orally administered drugs should be taken 1 hour before use or several hours after, as marshmallow may slow the absorption. Persons with allergies to other members of the Asteraceae family should exercise caution. We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
