Allergy Tea
Allergy Tea
Seasonal allergies are tough. This herb combo has been used to help soothe the inflammation and reactivity when one is exposed to allergens. Add 1 tsp per cup of boiling water and steep 15+min. Drink 2-3 cups a day, or as needed.
Weight: 65 g (40-60 servings)
Ingredients:
- Solidago canadensis (goldenrod)
A fantastic decongestant for the sinuses. It will make your nose run in the short term but this is how it works to clear your system!
- Plantago officinalis (plantain leaf)
Plantain is a natural antihistamine that can reduce inflammation in the eyes and nose. It can also help with congestion.
- Urtica dioica folia (nettle leaf)
Also considered an antihistamine. A study showed 57% of people rated nettles as effective in relieving allergies, and 48% said that nettles were more effective than allergy medications they had used previously.
- Verbascum thapsus (mullein leaf)
Traditionally used by cultures across the world as a healing aid for respiratory conditions, including seasonal allergies and hay fever.
- Ginkgo biloba (ginkgo)
Ginkgo can increase blood flow by promoting the dilation of blood vessels. This can help with breathing issues due to asthma or allergies.
- Euphrasia officinalis (eyebright)
Both an antihistamine, astringent and anti-inflammatory, eyebright is excellent for treatment of catarrh, hay fever, chronic sneezing, inflamed nasal mucosa, relaxed tonsils and sore throat, including where these symptoms are caused by allergy.
- Foeniculum vulgare (fennel seeds)
Fennel tea acts as an expectorant to help eliminate phlegm and mucus, which can help relieve sore throats and sinus pressure.
- Lobelia inflata (lobelia)
It also works as an expectorant that loosens phlegm and makes it easier to breathe. Traditionally used for asthma, allergies, or other breathing conditions.
